Minimum size of land required for permission to subdivide-Bayswater Melbourne

    Hi there

    Is there any rule that a plot of land only above 600 SQM can be sub divided in Bayswater VIC ?

    How can I find out this information?

    I’ve not seen any controls in ten Bayswater are for minimum lot size. If there was it would generally be in an overlay. If your property is GRZ it should be ok but really would need to be looked at in terms of two dwellings rather than two lots to make sure it can be subdivided.

    First port of call would be to check your title details. As Melbournian pointed out there may be a restriction on title limiting any further subdivision or dwellings.
    Next it depends on a number of factors. Where it is located, the Zone. The schedule to the zone may specify a minimum lot size. Access. Easements. Design.
    But as for a specific rule check your title and zone provisions.
