    Gold coast is probably better for you then. Honestly I haven't been to the beach in over 10+ years now living in Sydney. I'm not a beach guy and I think most of my friends are not either.

    I think the beach and being near water is not that high on many people's list when deciding to move to Brisbane in all honestly. Its more about the more laid back lifestyle, the affordability and just the general feel of Brisbane. I used to live in Brisbane and I actually miss that lifestyle. Sydney sometimes gets on my nerves in all honesty.

    Typical winter temperatures in Brisbane range from about 12 degrees in the morning to 26 max.
