VIC Melbourne (west-side) meetup - Thurs 25th August 7pm - Plough Hotel, Footscray VIC.

Good evening all

The next Melbourne west-side meetup is booked in for 7pm at the Plough Hotel, 333 Barkly Street Footscray on Thursday 25th August 2016. The booking is under "Property Chat Group".

Let me know by posting on this thread who is coming so I have an idea of numbers.

Come along for food and/or drinkies and some excellent chit-chat.

This venue is a short walk (450m... so max 5mins) from Middle Footscray Train Station which is on the Watergardens Line for those wishing to commute by train.

Alternatively there are numerous bus routes that travel along Geelong Road. Specifically, routes 216, 219, 220, 410 and 472 have stops right outside the hotel. For bus timetables, visit the timetables sectin of the Metro Trains website here; Timetables - Public Transport Victoria

For those commuting by car, there is heaps of parking at the rear of the venue... enter off Victoria Street.

I may well be able to make it to this one...finally.

@el caballo I recall the suggestion but for now I'd like to stick to venues that people can access by train or car. Westwaters isn't near a station. Will play it by ear and see what mode of transport people are using and if we find train travellers are not attending, then we could revise. Particularly people that work in the city find it great to be able to jump on the train after work and come straight to the meetup rather than go all the way home to get the car and then go out again.

 

That's the little guys 4th birthday and we're both jetting off at 6am on the Friday, so it's a miss for me

A free night from my kids but unfortunately not free from my kids - I forgot about my work commitments next week.

 

I know a couple of others that always come along that haven't explicitly noted so on this thread, so with that in mind, the tally of attendees is over 10 people already. It'll be a good night !
