Then there's something wrong with me.

However alcohol and myself have had a falling out in recent years.

Some great suggestions on this post.

I'll add a few more, depending on how far you want to travel in the car.

    1) Little Ramen Bar on Little Bourke (one a few cool new Ramen places opening up in Melbourne)

    2) The Merchant - hidden away inside the Intercontinental Hotel building (great building btw).

    3) Simons Peking Duck - great for kids as well. You'll need to call ahead to get a booking.

The Windsor end of chapel street is also a great spot.
Heaps of new places to check out.

    Enjoy.

    Yeah, some time ago.
    Was "ok" - nothing sensational.
Notable error - they forgot to bring our tempura out - left it on the pass - the staff didn't even notice. They left it so long, they had to toss it and recook.

If you want Japanese, Kenzan is the go (bit pricey though)

Maha - bond street. Excellent middle eastern, 2,4,5,6 course meal options with matching wines. Worth every cent

Kaprica- Italian near Melbourne university. Secret place, don't tell too many people about it. Best pizza here is John.

    Both require reservations.

This is without a doubt my favourite Italian Restaurant in Melb, Carlton

Its not cheap but its a cut above the rest, and its like Mamma makes it, fresh, good food and traditional, the real deal, not *******ised.

    WELCOME
