McDonald's moves into apartment development joint venture with Stockland

The biggest name in fast food, McDonald's, has moved into apartment development in western Sydney's Parramatta, teaming with developer Stockland.

The project is at its Parramatta restaurant site at 355-375 Church Street.

Some 350 apartments are proposed along with 1565 square metres of new retail space, a car park and the new restaurant.

The fast food group will retain ownership of the restaurant stratum lot, which is proposed to have two levels of seating, a PlayPlace, McCafe and a dual-lane drive thru.​

 

About time they decided to do something with their Parramatta holdings. This is a prime site (along with their adjoining properties).

 

Brand new Catholic school is also going in next door.

Bleh. I briefly live a few doors down from a maccas and it emitted this distinctive foul odor I will never forgot.

Traffic in this area will be a nightmare.

 

I cant see that traffic in the area being anything particularly over the top. But the traffic to the Hills from Parramatta in evening peak hour can be shocking.

 

That hasn't changed - a grade tenant, prepared to pay healthy nett rental, tied into a vertical supply chain and reasonably successful franchise system.

Agreed. Many big businesses, if not all would have "disgusting" malicious behavior both historically and presently cause people are involved.

 

yes, just today I was talking to a guy who follows trump since the 70s and he said that , trump would go into business with you, and if at anytime he felt that you are no longer useful to him, he will stop paying bills and cut you off.

if this is true, its bad, but maybe you need to be like this to get to their level

to be honest, I dont know how Id sleep at night, if someone said to me

"hey, do you know your current supplier, your going to stop using his products soon, so if you dont pay their bill now, they cant do anything about it, just stop paying!"
