Hi folks,

Can anyone help me with where they get their info on the following:

- population growth forecasted for a particular area
- infrastructure projects that are currently being built or slated for the future
- upcoming govt policy and spending changes for specific areas

I use rp data for property and price history and general research for things like transport and schools however I don't really have a solid source for pop growth/decline, employment figures or infrastructure. Is the census the best place? Or other govt platforms? Or just a lifetime of reading the paper/watching the news etc?
I would greatly appreciate the assistance.

For census data like population growth.

Local, state, and federal government sites for infrastructure and expenditure. Eg. RMS website.

Need to define your area first. If your strategy is reno and you can only do weekends with a budget of $300k. Probably best to focus within a 3hr radius of your location, and use price map to determine areas within your budget before going gun ho with the data.
