Purchased an off the plan property that showed bi-fold doors to the garden, this created a large inside/ outside living space. It was a major selling point for us. In the inspection it has been identified that this is now sliding 'balcony' doors, closing this space off much more and affecting its functionality.
All marketing material demonstrates bi-fold doors and some plans on the DA tracker show bi-fold (even ones submitted recently.) Although some show sliding, hardly any of the plans are dated so it is hard for us to tell when the change occurred. In the most recent DA submission, there were two plans lodged. One with sliding and one with bi-fold.
Where do we stand on this matter? Can anyone be held liable for not informing us of this change? The real estate agent/ developer? There were no plans in our contract (we are first-time buyers... we will know to ask for these next time) It is clearly a cost-saving decision of the developer, but where do we stand when we have already agreed on a price?
Also, in the marketing material, all wardrobe doors were hinged/ swinging open doors. These are now sliding mirrored doors. Again a cost saving exercise. Not the end of the world, but annoying!
Any advice on either matter welcome.
    Thanks in advance.

Is there anything in your contract (the big 2inch thick one) that specifies the bi-fold doors will be in your otp instead of normal sliding ones?
May not be there buts its Worth a look.

Not sure how much weight Mocked up Imagery in brochures counts VS actually whats been promised in contract.
