Managing Airbnb remotely

I just got back from overseas
and I stayed in a 7bdr shoe box with communal everything apartment,
host (not the owner but most likely the lease person)

price wasnt too bad, not cheap but cheaper then a shoebox hotel.

7 rooms, on average 40-60% occupancy he said

I did the numbers, it would work out that the turnoever would cover the rent in about 10 days


Does anybody who doesnt live in their premises (IP or rental)
do this as a living????? eg rent a premises and air bnb it out and drop by every couple of days to clean/organise everything?

for the record, my guy was there quite often and did a massive cleanout at least onec in the 4 days I stayed

 

There somebody here a while ago (Jodie) who had two boarding houses in Sydney she rented and filled largely via Airbnb. She then bought a big one in Tamworth and moved up there. I think she might have sold one of her Sydney businesses. She was smart and a good operator.
