Management fee %? - Cairns

    Hi Guys,
    Helping a family member rent his place out in Cairns.

    Location: Trinity Beach
    Dwelling: 4br house w double garage and nice outdoor area and pool. House is 4-5 years old I think
    He was quoted $460-$480pw. I guess that means nothing until the lease is signed...

    My question is this:
    What is the going rate for estate rental management fee for this area?

    He was quoted 8.8% today...

    Can anyone recommend an office and agent.....

    Any advice would be appreciated on this

    8.8% is pretty standard for the area.

    I just checked with a good friend of mine who has worked as a PM in Cairns for 14 years and he confirmed that yes 8 percent plus GST is standard for the area. He is great at his job and very knowledgeable; Ben Lee Long, TCM Rentals 0428122822.
