    Hi all,

my name is Tom from Perth, Western Australia.
I have lived in Perth my whole life. I work as an electrical contractor.
I was an on/off user with Somersoft.
My very few property investments to date have been minimal and mostly sideways. No loss but minimal return.
I hope to share my knowledge (property & trade) and learn from others moving forward.

Look forward to speaking with some of you soon.
    Tom

Hi & welcome Tommy. You'd have made more money from your investments if you did not sell them so soon after purchase ;)

Hi Steven, no worries at all. I purchased my first property in Perth, Westminster at 435k in 2007, purchased one in Newcastle, Mayfield (with Alan, who I cant talk highly enough of as a buyers agent) in 2009 for 380k inc LMI etc. Sold Westminster in 2012 for 455k and spent a bit of money and time doing it up to buy my current house. Sold Newcastle 3 months ago at 425k to pay for my backyard renos.
I currently have a potential sub-division south of Perth in the Melville area JV 50/50.
If I would have held Westminster for another year I would have sold it for around 550k but I would still be looking for a place to live.

Hi Jess, I work at a Gas Fired Power Station 30km north of Perth but I also have my Electrical Contractors License to do a bit of work on the side.
