    Hi All,

    Was told by my agent that in SA you can't claim from the bond locksmith costs to replace a lock just because the tenant didn't return the keys. In other words the landlord needs to bear that cost. Is this true?

    Even if they returned the keys how could you know that they didn't get any cut beforehand? I'd guess that if they were planning on returning to see what the new tenant had they would have thought about that.

    Only if subject to a lockout order from the tribunal.
