read an article a few years ago of some person/family with one of those doomsday bunkers with fully stocked up food, who were forced to eat their stocks because of nearing expiry date.

wouldnt want to be those people that are going to have to eat their 100 serves of pasta or noodles every day

but I guess judging on some attitudes of food wastage, they probably have no hesitation disposing it , and buying some more

Apparently it doesn't take this family long to eat all this!

Methinks they don't grow their own.... Must live in an apartment with no garden (or nosey neighbours).

Apparently it’s time to stock up again with some truckie strike coming up .. I am done stocking up though.

Not stocking up this time other than whatever we have .. we will run out of fresh milk and veges in about 2 days but can food will last 2-3 weeks.

I saw that as well. Freezer is already stocked with meat and some bread for Hubby. I just went to the supermarket for some essentials this morning, just in case the idiots do cause a shortage. Have enough food to last for a couple of weeks. Only things that will need topping up is veges.

If you're off to @datto 's lockdown party with a hose, you better grab some orchy bottles to go with it.

No need for orchy bottle. I got some exotic glassware from Bali. Just needed some minor modifications.

You don’t realise how strong dried chewing gum is in holding a piece of hose in place.

Well, to be honest, it's not something I've ever thought about.

To give an example. Ever stepped on some chewy on the footpath?

Noticed how sticky it is with every step you take? You might then rub the soul of the shoe on the ground till its no longer sticky.

But after a few days or so, you will notice any gum that's left on the soul is rock hard.

You could almost market this as a product as a stem holder.
