    Just noticed that the Land Tax application process is now available: Apply for COVID-19 Land Tax relief | Service NSW

    Interesting that its through Service NSW and not the Land Tax online portal.

    I will be helping a few owners to claim this shortly, interested to hear of anyone else's experiences claiming this.

    Great post Mel!

    Do you know if one is eligible if they had to relet the property at an amount substantially less than it was previously renting for, say > $50pw....with the vacancy taking place after April 1?

    Unfortunately the incentive is there to pass on savings to a tenant in financial difficulty, and not so much owners that have to reduce rent due to market factors.

    Its also very frustrating that it only applies to a portion of owners - land component is completely unrelated to who is impacted right now.
