Lakemba - Who has bought an IP this year?

    I have been looking into buying an IP for the last year and I keep coming back to Lakemba even though so many people are pushing me to go regional ( I am wanting to stay within NSW ) due to the fact the yields are higher but I just don't see the same CG potential in regional areas.
    Distance to the CBD is so minimal, I don't think there is anywhere as close cheaper, transport is great also. Of course many people would never buy there due to crime rates etc
    Has anyone bought there this year? How is your property going, have you had any issues with vacancy etc?
    Would love some feedback. I am looking at 2-1-1 apartments
    I have read all past Lakemba threads already

    Possibly value to be had in apartments. I would look for good reno deals if I was going to buy but haven't done any real research .

    Purchase a free standing house in Lakemba or don't go there!!! Apartments will be worth **** all in the future.

    If you have read the threads, you know pro's cons.

    I say ok for IP, would not live there if housing was free, well not in a lot of it anyway.

    I know people have done well there.
