Kitchen island light - Help please

    That’s just unpainted mdf.
    It will be painted to match the walls, and the cornice painted in white as per ceiling.

    Nothing pulled / connected yet. Just got hooks screwed on to ceiling from the lights i previously tried out (see pic in first post).

    I like the first one too.
    I don't like any darker coverings. Why block the light?
    I also prefer lights to be closer to the ceiling. I guess that's a personal preference.

    Ten years back, we got our whole house lightings from the 'Lighting Town - Auburn'. On your left after passing the Harvey Norman when you drive westbound. I still go there for all my needs. Not the top quality but decent price.
