Is Pest report required for new home

    Hi all,

    We're buying a new house (first home) in the West in Sydney. The house is complete and we're just getting the paperwork sorted. I wanted to check if it was recommended to have a pest report undertaken?

    I understand that it is a good idea for existing houses but is it necessary/recommended for new builds or is there really nothing to look at as its a new build?

    Has the builder provided a copy of the pest treatment system and certificates with all of the warranty documents?

    Hi Scott, we haven't received all the warranty doc's as yet. We've just had that contract and exchanging in a few days with settlement due for mid July. I was thinking the pest report (if we were undertaking one) would need to be undertaken prior to settlement?
