Hi, As the title suggests, I am new to the investing game and am looking for an IP. Bit of background, 27 with a 90k income and 45k in the bank. Currently living with family for free and will continue for at least another year or two before moving. Budget is around 500-600k. Focus is mainly capital growth for now. Cash flow is not an issue as I do not pay rent where I currently stay. What are some considerations I should be keeping in mind when looking for my first IP? I have seen plenty of house and land packages in Officer, Cranboure, Tarneit etc which are well within my budget range. Are these type of properties generally appropriate for IPs? What is the benefit of going brand new as opposed to an existing house? Any assistance would be helpful Cheers
