Hi guys, any building insurance experts here?

I am trying to understand how it works. My understanding is that for building insurance the insurance company would want no interference and modifications in the building. But if it is a rented place the tenant can intentionally or accidentally do something which may not be covered under building insurance. How is that covered? Say if they remove something without the LL approval and that causes flooding in the property how will that be looked at by the insurance company?

    Cheers,
