    Hi
I'm after recommendations on ETFs that are DRP'd.
I have exposure to Oz and US ETF's but would now like to expand to one International and one Asian region ETF.
    Any ideas guys?

    Cheers

    Vanguard are popular here.

    VAE is Asia ex Japan
    VGS world established ex Australia

    Both offer DRP

VEU is world ex US if you are already comfortable with your US exposure. Not AU domiciled though.

Apart from VAE from Vanguard which has around 12% India the only other India only fund I found is Fidelity India Fund

Fees are high but it's an option if you really wanted to invest.

Another option is open NRE/NRO account with one of the Indian banks (HDFC, ICICI, AXIS etc) and then open a demat account (equivalent to brokerage account here) which you can then use to buy directly from local exchange.

    Cheers,
    Oracle.

Curious why you want to separate India from the rest of Asia? I’ve seen a few burnt badly over the years by focusing on single country EMs. Then again they may just have been unlucky:).

    No

Needed a PAN card to proceed. At the time I was looking there were no options for index ETFs there were only mutual funds available. I wasn't keen on them. So left it thinking sooner or later the likes of Vanguard might provide option to invest there. Currently, I use VAE to get exposure to Indian market along with China, Hong Kong, South Korea, Taiwan etc. Am happy with it.

    Cheers,
    Oracle.

Why is DRP a showstopper? The dividend yield is low anyway, why not just buy a top up parcel periodically? Can work better that way from a debt recycling point of view as well.

Honestly I most probably will continue along the VAE route however would like more direct exposure to India as I feel the likes of India and Brazil will do very well over the next 30 or so years. I find it hard to communicate this via text, much easier to convey via dialogue however in my opinion due to large population, current wages etc these are economies that have a lot of room to grow. Will go into it a little more later on as the boss has informed me it’s time I get of my rear end and do some work around the house

Do you care about where it is domiciled? iShares IBK invests in the BRIC countries, dominated by China, gets you some India.

Unfortunately, IBK is going to be delisted from ASX soon. Link

Hi there, was keen on taking a small position in 3 or 4 of the above, IBK was one of them however it has been delisted, kick in th teeth to be honest!
@oracle howmcommon is it for other etf/lic to meet the same fate? Is it simply not enough interest/liquidity issues or are the likes of black rock etc not making enough whilst providing these?

As they keep introducing new ETFs of all varieties and flavours I believe it will become more and more common for some of them to not succeed and be delisted.

The main reasons is what you have highlighted above.

    Cheers,
    Oracle.

All I know is that the first attempt at an Indian focused LIC was a flop.
Second attempt a couple of years ago at an IPO was also a flop from Memory.

Given survivorship is important to me I like to invest in products I have confidence will be around long term. If you can find an Indian focused product that meets that criterea and are determined to stick with it long term then the odds may be in your favour.

Your advice on equity investing is from a random on a property forum named after a simpleton who claims to be homeless.
