Here is yet another interactive report here.

I don't think we often realise how lucky this country is! I looked into some of (what I believe) are the lowest socioeconomic suburbs in Australia, and even there you find people on very decent income. Also, contrary to the media, lower socioeconomic areas are not always immigrants from "certain" countries.

Finally, almost every CBD is dominated by Chinese, except Darwin :D. Why CBD?? I don't really see attractiveness of CBDs. Yes, its closer to everything. But it is usually busy, annoying and impossible to relax. Rented in CBD for 3 years.

Cbd is popular with overseas students. Largest source of overseas students?

I thought about student. I would assume (might be wrong) that students would prefer to huddle around suburbs that surround a university. Cheaper and closer to a place the spend most of their time at.

Another idea is maybe Working Holiday Visa holders? Close to transport and a lot of cash/ manual jobs in between travels?

Would 3004 be considered CBD given it's still City of Melbourne? I'd happily live along St Kilda Road, Faulkner Park side :)

Look at Vaucluse. Oh my holy socks, that income bar is off the charts! Does Bill S know about it? I can see a lot of juicy taxes.
