Hey guys, can someone please suggest which company are you guys using for property insurance nowadays, specially in QLD.

I have been with EBM since couple of years as was highly recommended on PC since long. But seems they have become less client friendly nowadays. I have 2 properties with them but their prices are high and non negotiable. Moreover they had some changes to their policies last year.

Would love to hear if any other good companies are being used nowadays by PCers.

    Thanks!

I presume you meant Landlord Insurance? Always go for Terri Scheer. :)

Terri Scheer recently dramatically improved their policies (back to where they were a couple of years back!) but EBM still has better policies and cheaper premiums.

    What problems are you having?

    Thanks guys for your responses.

@Tom Rivera thanks. The revised quotes they have given are much higher. Not sure if they are worth or not. Earlier I read bad reviews about TerriScheer too on PC. Seems they have improved, will check them out too

Hi mate I’m looking to buy a house in Crestmead
And so far this is what I’m looking at
For combined building and landlord insurance TS-$1370
    EBM- $942 with discount
And comm bank $850. Wife works with them and gets a good staff discount.

    Hope it helps.

Worth splitting it up and looking at a mainstream insurer for building and a Terri scheer / ebm for the landlord component.

Hi Tom, could you provide some dot points on difference between TS and EBM you've found just out of interest?

From my own experience, TS is circa $365/yr, and only covers up to $500 towards pet damage, and doesn't cover gardens and grounds damage, such as if dog destroys turf or plants.

Try getting a quote from Honans. I've never had a problem with them.
