Haven't read it. Reading Insider Buy Superstocks, some of it appears an autobiography -

'In addition to a rigorous review of his strategy, a large portion of the book is about Stine’s trading journey and personal philosophy. He goes over his near-death experiences, why he travels the world, and what he thinks distinguishes him from the rest of the traders who try and fail to succeed–contrarianism.'

and appears to be about trading the US market. I'm in for the long and boring LICs/ETF . Fortunately/unfortunately monitoring and trying to outquick the stock market isn't for my nerves.

    HI mate,

I'VE got a small chunk of cash in etfs and lics too. I'm planning to allocate some more money to a direct stock investing approach. Prob a mix of technical and fundamental. I was against this idea when buying lics but what the hell u only live once!

Ahhh, you're more active than me. I'm not about monitoring the market and individual companies to find out the CEO has left, or a new technology has just been released, and the sharemarket dives/rises as a result. I'll leave that to the full time investors and planners (eg Alex).

I like the LIC approach as for a very small fee, there is a management company to do this on my behalf (with $millions under management). When I kept getting jittery when events happened to BHP and the shareprice responded, I determined it was time to leave this to those with stronger nerves than me....

As long as the amount invested doesn't affect the SANF, see how it spins!

No. I haven't bought the book.

And I wouldn't waste my money.

Sorry but the title says it all.

    And I wouldn't trust reviews.

That first review from Anastasia sounds suss. Too over the top for my liking. And they conveniently throw a one star rating in.

I was once recommended a massage from an Anastasia who supposedly had a five star rating. Never again. I always thought Anastasia was a female name. Hands like bear paws.

Local library if you use it?
Just a wide thought for a risk free read.

I haven’t bought the book but a quick extrapolation suggests that this performance is unlikely to be sustainable. If the author was able to repeat his 15000% return in another 28 months he would be a billionaire. If he could repeat the trick just once more he would overtake Jeff Bezos as the worlds richest man with a net worth of $150 billion. If so why did he take time out after reaching a measly $6million to write a book?

Was there any clue where you might be able to contact Anastasia?

Do post back your own review. Although going by the sub title and the returns in 28 months it must go well beyond investing (buy and hold). Keen to hear if it's swing trading or day trades and/or options trading.

    HI Michael,

I'll post my summary when I finish but I think he's a momentum investor in small caps . Uses a handful of what he believes to be the biggest bang for buck technicals and fundamentals . Tries to go for low risk relative to reward upside companies .

Ill post more when im done .
