Oh this old chestnut, this is a blast from the past.

If I had not canned it and just left it sitting there it would look like this:

    upload_2020-10-20_14-42-49.png

Last 4 columns are @ today, prior columns are unchanged from July last year.

94.54% increase, not a bad stock selection :).

Every experiment I have done to date echoes the same mantra. Time in > Timing.

Hmmm Daughters now tell me they use Emerald portfolio with holds ETHI and RARI at 35ish% each. I think they were saying that their portfolios have done very well in comparision to the standard RAIZ portfolios

    RAIZ Custom Portfolio

The Custom Portfolio will only suit customers who are a bit more sophisticated and understand investment risks and their own risk tolerance – it won’t be suitable for all Raiz investors. You must read the PDS carefully to understand the risks and determine if a Custom Portfolio is suitable for you.

The Management Costs for a Custom Portfolio is $0.00 p.a. for an account balance of less than $20,000; and 0.275% p.a. for account balances equal to or greater than $20,000. The Maintenance Fee for a Custom Portfolio is $4.50 per month for account balances less than $20,000; or $0.00 per month for account balances equal to or greater than $20,000. But there are no extra fees or limits on switching, depositing, withdrawing, or changing the target allocation inside your Custom Portfolio.

I admit - for $54 per year for balances under $20K it is a pretty decent move in the right direction. It is now more flexible than Pocket, Stockspot and the like.
Yes, fraught with some dangers for the uneducated, but for those who know the basics I think it's pretty OK

I see they added a Vanguard ETF (VGE)

With Comsec having 7 ETF's RAIZ has upped the ante' to 14, you could essentially invest 100% of your funds into a single ETF if you chose
