    Some of those variable P&I rates are ridiculously good.
    I can get 4.24% fixed for 3 years with CBA (IP P&I) - compared to my 4.35% variable. I may split my loan and take advantage of the fixed rate.

    not into rate competitions per se, because they arent fruitful most of the time.

    AMP are doing a 3.59 PI rate packaged with their Global Limit product

    Are they fixed or variable? If variable then doesn't really matter what they are today because can jack them at will.....

    I pay 5% for those ips with 100% carpet damage insurance coverage and 4% for those instances j want to play with fire
