I don't know what will happen if positive, but I will be able to stay at home if it doesn't get any worse, and I am allowed. I don't want to take up bed space and resources.

I think you stay at home. Nurses call and check up on you.

    Depends on severity of symptoms.
Also depends on who else is at home and if you can self-isolate effectively, usually best to have an exclusive use bathroom.
    Fingers crossed you are negative.

I don't know...if I had mild symptoms, I'd rather get it over with. You would feel a little anxious though.

@Terry_w hope you will feel better. In the last few days, I felt "funny" not sure if it's all that media stuff but I felt as though the air outside is contaminated... then a bit feverish but could be due to ulceration in my mouth...and then felt achy probably because I went for a jog with my son 2 days ago and I am so unfit...

I'm attending Dizzo tomorrow via virtual court room and my client is going to be with me in the room... hope i can pull through tomorrow.

well for me, about a week or 10 days ago, I woke up feeling a bit "chesty"
    and a little drowsy,
no cough, no temperature, even though I felt a little like I had a temperature

the drowsyness went away during the day, and ever since then at night, it still feels a bit chesty,

I called the doc, and he said you dont show the symptoms of corona, so no need

as of today, still feel a bit "chesty" but what more can I do?

    results are in.

    Negative for Covid19

But the nurse said I should still isolate as I do have something and to go see a doctor in a few days if it doesn't get better. They also don't want me giving the 'flu' to others who may then think it is covid and go and get tests done.

That was just over 24 hour turn around time which is pretty good.

So are you relieved, or a little disappointed it was negative given the symptoms are mild?

What happens to people who recover completely? Do they have to sit at home on lockdown?

Not sure how you know when. You have recovered enough to be safe.

I thought I'd heard you need two negative tests to be safe you're no longer able to pass it to someone, but that's just from a few comments on different shows. I'm sure if you were positive, you'd be told for sure when you can come out again. I wonder if they'd allow you to go about your business. I guess you'd also take the risk of being abused by others for flouting the isolation rules.

My friend in Australia tested positive, he has to stay at home until they give him the all clear. He got it while in the US. Strangely his wife does not have it.

Mild headache, mild fever (38-39), consistent cough. Nothing worse than a mild case of the flu he said

Casteller, my Wife and Daughter who came back on one of the last flights from SEA 14 days ago have just passed the 14 days stay inside..The daughter came-down with a mild flu i took her up to be tested and the test was negative as one of the family over there passed away 5 days ago but all's good now..

Stay safe as this will pass only the time it takes and damage it does in-between as it's a top day in Brisbane sun is shinning and the weather fine..

@willair I'm glad your wife and daughter seem to be ok now and sorry to hear one of your family passed away. Was it the virus?
