5.47% is certainly high - but Watson raises a good point, ANZ certainly aren't up there in paying high commissions, they're one of the worst.

Talk with a great mortgage broker who can review your situation, instead of looking at these gimmick websites. Plenty of them on this forum who can give you impartial advice. As per location - I'm actually based in Adelaide, but as almost everything is completed via phone and email these days, geographic location isn't necessarily a key requirement to get good service.

Call ANZ and tell them you're leaving because bank XYZ are offering a better deal. They might drop your rate over the phone

    Cheers

5.47% is an odd rate. Their SVR is 5.56%, so that's a .09% discount???

Perhaps you were meant to get .9%, and someone made an error.

You mentioned the need to find a broker a few times. It should be noted that brokers here are some of the best in the country with clients on this forum and also outside. The brokers that have replied above are all very reputable and well known throughout the country.

Had a look at Huffle website, so many flaws and questions. Reminds me of Choices big switch, same concept really.

You get these outsiders looking to disrupt / crack the market in a quick way and make an easy buck but the reality is every deal / person is different and you can't homogenise them. It definitely wont work.

Forgot to say if you want to apply for a pricing discount with ANZ find out if you are on the breakfree package then hit them up. You should get at least a 0.90% pa hopefully more discount off the standard variable improving your rate greatly.

Your broker could also do this for you or I / other brokers could.

Brokers should be asking for pricing with almost every deal, even investment loans at this point. I've actually found ANZ to be one of the more disappointing lenders for pricing. 0.9% seems standard whereas we're seeing substantially more from the other majors.
