They're spring loaded - push them outwards (or use an American screwdriver).

    Yes that's 1.

We have tried pushing out the seemingly spring-loaded metal bits!! No luck

If it's an LED light you need to replace the lot.

I've seen some where only one was spring loaded. I assume that you tried all three?

I think you’ll find it’s jammed. Play around with it. It should loosen up. Also you might find that the spring is only in one of those thingys. The other two are fixed.

Another thing, if that cover is plastic you might be able to manipulate it out with a screwdriver.

Ah, the X6-109B. You'll need to go in through the ceiling for that one. Big job that, gonna cost ya. I reckon I could fit you in today, if you have cash..?

Good thoughts, tried to loosen, might have to become more aggressive with screwdriver....

Get some WD40 onto it and wriggle it around gently.

    That’s 7.

    That's 8.

We pulled. There was a loosening, but didn't expose the globe. Might be loose from ceiling ..... oops

    9. (And very final) Use a one handed universal fixing tool. It has two proven systems. One side levers thing off anything. The other helps make several smaller pieces for removal.

I'd swap it for a nicer light (but I particularly dislike Oyster lights).

How many matching lights are in that room that you'd have to replace.

Interior fittings are pretty cheap . Electrician call out is not going to vary much if its 1 or 3. Watch wattage and consider LEDs. Some bulbs cost more than the fittings. Check if existing light has dimmer etc...

There is a bit of trick for doing this ... you really have to move all three clips .. first push the glass cover towards any two clips and then push out third clip and you should enough space for the cover to come out.. try it a few times and it should work!
