how many m3 of top soil do you think this is?

    I thought it looked about right. Just had 7 x12m3 of material delivered yesterday and the piles are never as big as you think once down.

    so your piles were slightly smaller, can you send photo of 12m3 pile?

    i took some measurements, it was 2.9m wide 5.3m long and 1.35m high at the top though it was about 500 wide. working off 2.9x5.3x1.35 it's 20.7m3/2 is 10.35m3. this doesn't allow for the top being 500 wide though this just works off a triangle shape being half the square. really don't want to confront builder as it's going to be an awkward conversation

    Who is responsible for the topsoil? Ie has the landscaper quoted 50mm topsoil as part of the total job or is it open ended? If it's a quote, then it's not your problem.

    Sorry mate it has all been spread on the day with a bobcat. Never measured them but just visually they have never been as big as I was initially expecting. Can vouch that it was all there though.

    I too can vouch that they always never look as big as you expect. A meter is a lot smaller than you think as well when you measure something out.

    Usually a level bobcat scoop is half a meter
