How do you keep yourself educated about what's going on in the property market? If you've finished buying, do sit on the sidelines and observe, or do you research the next potential suburb/state/market?
I'm interested to hear from long time members, particularly on how you tune in to what's happening in different markets, and where you go to get news and data.

Lots of property related information there.
@Ben Kingsley Runs the property couch. Very knowledgable and on the ball. Ben is always in my car between inspections :)

There are heaps of other ones. Some will resonate with you. Some will not.

Sometimes it's good to listen to view points that don't resonate so you can gain clarity in what actually does.

I think it's also important who/what you don't read or listen to. Some that spring to mind:
The RBA govenor. (often caught jawboning the market)
    ACA and the like.
    Bank economists.
    Prof Steve Keen etc
BAs that sell properties in mining towns.

Even though I haven't purchased a residential property for a few years, I keep up to date through:

    • Propertychat
    • re.com / searching other sites for sales history
    • News articles
    • Podcasts (Smart property investment, the property couch, mark bouris, tim ferriss (not Aussie investment based)
    • Constantly reading property/investment/mindset books
