Is there a document anywhere that states exactly what is and what isn't my responsibility regarding maintenance to my townhouse? The townhouse shares 2 common walls and the roof, pathways gardens etc with the other townhouses.
I assume that this would be covered by the bodycorp since its the facade of the building not facing my private courtyard(it faces a common walkway area)?

We have an issue with the facade of the balcony which the render and cladding has fallen off. The balustrade is made of timber with cement sheet and then rendered. This is all falling off. It is clear that there has never been any waterproof on here even though it was constructed after year 2000 when the standards required waterproofing.

I just want to know if I should be repairing this or if the bodycorp should be covering this?

Ask for a copy of the policy, this will show what their insurance covers.

Also get hold of the strata plan, this spells out what belongs to who.

Is the property in Victoria or another State?
