Yes it was... It was our first interstate IP. We used a BA too! Final decision was mine though.

I think you couldn't be more wrong. Brisbane has dedicated bus lanes on the freeway blocked off from other road user lanes, not just like a bus lane painted on the road, but exclusive road for them....
They use the bus system more efficiently than Sydney or Melbourne does.

I can appreciate that the spread of suburbs are greater but it doesn't diminish the transport system.

Perhaps....but at some point they will need to get people onto the rail network.

The number of people who still drive to work in Brisbane is still reasonably large just like Adelaide.

Besides the cost of partking in both Sydney and Melbourne is very high!

The only problem with the rail, is it is "country town" in nature, probably adds to road problems too, level crossings in a capital city is backward, they need to spend more.

I remember when Sydney had poor rail service too, but it never disrupted road traffic, it was always dedicated thank the lord.

Both sides of politics in brisbane know the importance of some kind of rail. Various proposals have been touted like the cross river rail
Government to Create Statutory Authority to Deliver Cross River Rail | BrisbaneDevelopment.com

Whatever happens..im fairly sure they will get something.

With the forecast growth it will come. My Facebook community page has daily rants from people who are over the traffic delays. Little do they realise they are part of the issue.

The highway that connects our suburb area with inner city has no bus lanes. None.

I remember years ago waiting for buses in the city. Once a week they just wouldn't turn up because there was an accident and they were delayed. It definitely depends which suburb you are travelling from/to.

Do you mind saying where sash? Just asking because you are active in the market and have obviously thought about it a bit.

We just picked up another today (Slacks Creek). Hopefully B&P etc is all good.

Hey Northy. I guess it depends on which pocket you bought in.

We think the one we picked up is ~10% below market value and is in the pocket we were targeting.

If you bought several say ~4+ years ago in average to good areas I think you're well ahead of the game. Maybe get them revalued, as you should have some decent equity now.

There are other members on here though who are much more knowledgable than me on area specifics. I still have my training wheels on :)

Cheers Lenny, sounds like you did well then! I'll be getting them revalued soon to pull equity anyway

Did a drive around here the other day. Not sure if you have noticed but stock in this market has dropped from 30+ down to early 20s on Rea.com but what I noticed is that many houses still listed for sale on Rea.com have sold stickers on them so is actually lower still
