    Saw another house getting moved today in Kangaroo Point. Another block of units. I think the company was called Queensland House Removals

    I know some bloke who just did this.

    Queenslander Reno

    Labour intensive with 7 months diy work but for $80k for 220m2 of renovated house isnt bad.

    That is an awesome thread @Tim86! Great job! I'm going to grab a cuppa and read through all of it when I've got some time.

    Would you do it again? Was the 7 months from inception or from house down?

    It's certainly hard bloody work!

    I looked at this for Melbourne. Craning over the existing house was going to make the project prohibitively expensive.

    ^^^ this. The house I lined up in Melbourne was fully renovated to a very high standard. It was a brilliant house and I very disappointed when the numbers to move it didn't stack up :(

    7 months of work from the house being put on the block.

    I knew what I was getting myself into so yeah Id do it again.

    Good house! Needs a new roof. Getting them out of bentleigh can be a nightmare too (when you're going to the other side of the city). Might give them a call and see what their timeframe is ;)
