    nope.

but you can bet the number 4 affects it a lot more especially in sydney/melbourne with people from certain backgrounds ;)

personally i don't buy anything with the number 4 for this reason :p

In one season I tore a hamstring,
Copped concussion (twice) !, then finally did a medial ligament in the right knee that knocked me out of the rest of the football season (+ most of the next season)

    All whilst wearing #13.

My nickname on the field after rehab was 'lucky' for the next couple of years until I finally gave it up.

Got to love Aussie sarcasm !

I know if I walk under a ladder I'm not going to have bad luck, but I still walk around it.

I wouldn't look for a house with the number 13 but if it was the right house, it wouldn't stop me.

It's no different to the No 4 houses mentioned above. My mother twice had people apply (successfully at least in one case I remember) to have a house at No 4 changed to become No 2A.

So, people do care about specific superstitions, even if they know it is unreasonable.

    I think you meant 14.

It may just on the odd day impact sale. But I probably wouldn't care about that if 14 Collins St or 14 George St was on sale for a cheap price.

I probably wouldn't buy 14 Glen Waverley or 14 Chatswood

I like 13 but I know some people don't. I avoid house number 13 in case house sale price is affected

    I have a number 8. If I subdivide, do I end up with 2 number 4's?

Came here to read about how you had purchased 13 properties on a McDonald's wage. I am disappoint.

Cactus, was it any harder renting IP 13 ? did it take longer to rent or did it rent at a discount to other properties in the same location ?

We used to live in 14 and an Asian family bought off us. No biggie to some.

The number 4 is a beautiful number. Even. Square root is 2, also a beauty. A square has 4 sides. Squares are pretty. Silly superstitious Chinese, believe me I know, I'm part Chinese so I see such silliness on a frequent basis, e.g. buildings skipping 'level 4.'

13 is also beautiful. Stoic. Unique. Odd, but pleasantly quirky. Divisible into integers only by 1 or by itself. I can feel it..

I use to work in pubs in China Town and there was no 4,14 or 24 numbered pokies even though there was 30 pokies in the room .

I don't look for houses based on their numbers. If the house 'works', the number is irrelevant.

My mother in law got really annoyed with me the other week when I opened an umbrella in the house, I didn't even know that was a thing!
In my renos currently, I constantly walk underneath ladders. Why place restricitons on yourself that don't help anything or anyone?

I have a 13 in Sydney. Didn't stop it doubling in the recent boom.

I not generally superstitious - but am not keen on 13 for some bizarre reason.

Hubby and I have always lived in houses with a #2 in it - 20, 29, 21, 211 etc - and 2(x) seems to be really lucky for us. For the first time we are moving to a property without a #2 and it makes me a little nervous.
