House hunting? Watch out for the locals - Buyers face-to-face with giant python

A HOUSE-HUNTING Sydney couple got more than they bargained for when they stepped on to a Port Douglas beach property and came face to face with a giant python attempting to stomach an unpalatable Ibis for dinner.

Century 21 real estate agent Phil Holloway was showing the couple the house in the Sands sub-division at Four Mile Beach when the trio found the snake trying valiantly to swallow the giant bird - and its dangerous sword-like beak - head first.

“I went to take some photos of the snake, and realised that the bird’s beak had pierced the snake’s stomach,” Mr Holloway told the Cairns Post.

Funny reading this post about the agent as there's another agent called Phil Holloway in Baulkham Hills. For a moment I thought he'd moved!
