    Hi Guys.

Currently building a deck at home and I believe the property had an internal HWS at some point. When then moved it outside instead of moving it to the correct place (around the side of the house) they just put it on the other side of the wall from where it was originally located.
So it was going to get in the way of the deck being built.

I was going to upgrade it anyway as it looks very old.
I guess it wanted the last laugh, tomorrow the plumber is coming to move and replace it, but it decided to go out on a high note and packed itself in, spraying water everywhere!
Must have hurt it's feelings or something.

    So 2 things:
    1. Don't feel bad about spending the cash replacing it now as I have no choice
    2. It's been quite amusing listening to my GF and also Brother have cold showers the last 2 days haha..

To think - some people have cold showers every morning as part of their routine.. Crazy stuff..

The hws was getting its own back at you.

When you buy a spare, knowing that the original is about to fail, it will soldier on for another year or two. I c you don't threaten to replace it, then it'll break down at the most inopportune time.

Look on the bright side, you no longer need to justify its replacement. Its done the right thing by carking itself...albeit inappropriate timing.

My missus look at it differently - is it capex or opex and can it be depreciated? She conveniently forgot I'll be paying for it, not her :(
