It's finished and signed off and filled in and retaining has started so hopefully we'll be putting the other slabs down in a week or 2. I'm very excited!!

If you've ever watched Lost this reminds me of The Hatch. It's the IP for the sewer tunnel/wine cellar/bomb shelter/zombie prepper hideaway

Unit 2 has almost caught up to Unit 1. Cladding is on as I'm a bit behind in my photos

Slab is now on for Units 3-6 and has been ground back. Framing will start this week

Everything is going gangbusters. Second floor framing is almost finished for all the units and the first 2 are all clad.

I quite like the rectangular facade of those front units.

Thanks. They are quite cubic with the nod to the more heritage houses with the brick choice and the grey weathered wood colour cladding.

Of course some idiot brickie built one brick column with cream mortar and the other in white mortar. Sigh! I'll live - I think :p

I drove past this today and recognised it from your photos, it looks terrific and I love that part of Highgate, particularly the park down the road, good luck with the ongoing build!

Everything is going along swimmingly. Painters and renderers have done the upper storey so that the scaff could come down. All the ugly scaffolding is down revealing their shape more.
The front 2 have their stairs and kitchens in. I absolutely love the kitchens. They took a lot of work to get just right. Unfortunately they are covered up with heavy plastic to protect them with the sheeting happening but I'll see if the cabinetmaker took a photo when it was installed. It's a tiny inline kitchen but I've made every millimetre count by using an integrated fridge, combi microwave/oven and double row of overhead cabinets

Wall sheeting has started so it's beginning to look like a real house

City views are now possible as the deciduous trees have dropped their leaves

I drove past the other day and they look absolutely tremendous, contemporary, and just right in that setting, congratulations.

Welcome to page 15 - if you are still following I commend you :)

This week Units 1 and 2 had their concrete floors have their final grind back and are now buffed. There will be a final seal and polish later but they are looking magnificent. Cabinetry is going in and tilers are starting next week.

Units 3-6 are having their gyprock going in, ceilings done and staircases going in. They are probably 4 weeks behind Units 1 and 2. Their cantilevered carport roofs have gone up though and are just like I imagined all those months ago. It looks so effortless just hanging out there but there is some lovely steel holding it all together :p

A lot of effort goes into it too. Unfortunately for my concreter he could probably do a much larger area in a small amount more time and get more money for it but we have a good working relationship
