The bogans outsmarted the fence! Some just cut it, while others just went through the bush! And you know what the cops couldn't work it outo_O

Ropes was a proof of concept that you don't have to live in a 50's lowset to be known as a bogan. You can live in a brand new community and shop in a brand new coles and still be as bogan.

Yeah it had some characters out there a few years back when i was last out there. Is Jordan springs the same? Or are they upper middle bogan?
The thing with "bogans" is they're everywhere! Just depends what you're comparing to

yes... if you go to another part of the city from your part you will find a different demographic.

Someone visiting jordan spring or ropes crossing from eastern suburbs is not going to find any city workers out there. they will all be bogans for him

Just cross the harbour bridge and go to Eastgardens - a different breed in there compared with Bondi Westfield ;) or the Druitt

2-3 storey units ... Have you ever been in them ?

Interesting ..... A few years ago they featured on the front page of the Tele with all the residents being terrorised by people going though them .

Govt housing would make " sense " .

2011 ... ah ... after the " troubled change over " . Preceeding Chemist bought the business , building and business for close to 1 mil . Had no clue . Prior to that he'd been working in Mt Morgan as the only chemist , so no competition . Within three days had halved turnover and within 18 months had lost house , was living with family in back of shop with family and eventually went bankrupt or if not , banks just about to move in before he sold .

So ropes crossing didn't work out the way they wanted ? Was always dubious given the price differential between that and letho / Wilmot .

That parcel of land has been for sale ever since I remember.
LOL! The highest I ever got was standing on my roller skates.

I'd buy them in the blink of an eye, if they were cheap enough. Somehow I don't think they'd be cheap enough.

    No way!

I'm not sure who bought there but locals would have realized that the road was never going to be the Berlin Wall.
Given you have 500k properties one side and 300k the other side is the road the class of tenant or owner was likely to fall in the middle imo.

That will be the challenge for the developer! Finding something that is cheap enough to sell but not nasty enough to scare people off.
I'd think the fancy drawing is a bit to optimistic or screams "ghetto potential". If they dropped in to tie in with the surrounding units it might draw in fhb or better tenants

Re block in question - 392 Luxford Rd . 4020m2

In 98 it sold for 77K ( when I looked at it I think ) by Dept of housing
in Oct 2010 it sold for 365 K

Interestingly it was on the market 2.1 mil in Jan 2010 ... ( before it sold for 365 ...)
    Offers over 1.5 in 2014
Expressions of interest at the moment .

    My interest is nil .....

Nah! Dave was exaggerating, as usual. You know what he's like. I'd be 4 foot with my skates on, if I'm lucky.:D

Not your memory, but clearly your eyesight isn't what it once was.
