Hi, I'm Jamie Moore

Jamie here.

I’m an SS addict – been posting for years and haven’t been able to stop.

It all started from googling “Jan Somers” – that search landed me on a forum that appeared to have been created at the dawn of the internet.

I couldn’t believe how much content there was. I couldn’t read quickly enough. I was such a massive IP nerd – I remember my wife always having to drive the car so I could use the work commute to learn more about cross collaterisation, releasing equity and trying to decipher Rolf Latham's comments

After purchasing some IP’s – I decide to get into mortgage broking and 6 years ago, Pass Go was created. It sounds a bit corny but I doubt I’d be where I am today without somersoft. I went from working in a 9-5 that I couldn’t stand to working in an industry that I really enjoy and which allows enough flexibility to spend a lot of time with my young kids.

Since then I’ve met some amazing people from the forum – especially some of the older finance guys who have become great friends and mentors over the years. I’ll always be extremely grateful for somersoft – and I’m looking forward to seeing propertychat grow.

Jamie, out of curiosity what industry you used to work in?

 

Hmm, Canberra, 9-5, couldn't stand it... I'm gonna go out on a limb here and guess public service

 

He said he needed 3 months physio on his pinky when he broke it. Totally public service.

 

9-5 that would be my holy grail

 

I worked in the govt.

It wasn't for me - there are some very rewarding jobs. I just didn't happen to find one during my time there.

I did convince my 8 year old that I was part of a boy band in the early 2000's. Kids are so gullible - it's great.
