    Hi All,

    Very new to this. Have read some info here and there as well as some (limited) literature. Currently looking at tenanting our PPOR here in Newcastle due to a job relocation and building a house at the other end.

    Wife and I have also just started our own SMSF a few months ago and are looking at an IP with a budget of $575k. Really overwhelming doing the research on where to buy, so I'm here to learn and probably ask an annoyingly huge amount of questions.

    We also have a vacant half acre block in rural NSW that we intend to split and build two more properties on with the view to selling and investing that capital into a higher growth market within the next 2-3 years.

    Welcome Jeah!

    Sounds like you're making great progress with property. The SMSF setup is probably almost as much work as finding a property to purchase ;)

    What areas are you looking at for that one?

    Ask as many annoying questions as you can. It's the best way to learn so don't be shy.

    Yeah, the whole SMSF process takes a bit of time and a whole lot of signing documents, but should be worth it in the long run.

    At the moment we are looking toward Brisbane suburbs for a free standing house type peroperty, or maybe even here in Newcastle. Still very early stages so eager to read where the long termers are looking at.
