Hi all, I'm based in Sydney, and looking to invest soon. I've been reading many posts on this forum for a couple of years now, and finally decided to register and post. Immediate goal is to take the first step and invest in property within the next few months. After that, the bigger picture would be to work out next what to do with our too small PPOR (happy where we are located so potentially a major reno or knockdown rebuild), then look at getting into position to buy another investment property to secure retirement / future for our kids.
Do you have a medium to long term plan of what kind of passive income you would like and when? Then you can work backwards to see what kind of approach you need when choosing property with what strategy. Every time I make a purchase I consider what type of property ( and strategy) do I need and will It get me closer to my goals.
