Help! Possible Shower leak - Carpet on the other room gets wet

    Yup. At the moment, I am told that its only when they use the shower. So it could be a leaky tap, the REA already getting a plumber to fix it.

    We did that once we realised where all the water was coming from.

    Also, our own shower at home leaked into our garage (unlined ceiling and right under our bathroom) when hubby cut away some mouldy silicone where the wall tiles met the base.

    He left what he thought was a good amount of silicone but obviously he either nicked through some, or didn't leave enough and the tray filled up and spilled over into our garage.

    Someone mentioned this above, and it could be something that is allowing water to get into the other room.

    HI All

    Just an update. Many people pointed that it could be leaking behind from the tap itself and it turned out exactly that and ending up in the bedroom adjacent to the shower wall.
    Thanks a bunch for sorting this out. It cost under 200 and so relieved that no tiles or walls needed to be broken into.
