    About 12-18 months ago someone posted a really interesting analysis into buying to live, compared to buying to invest and then renting an identical property.

    It detailed deprecation, tax benefits, having the landlord do maintenance etc.

    I've searched all over for it but can't find it. Does anyone happen to remember this post? I think the example property was like $500k or something.
