Getting up early gives you a head start
Have a to do or goal list so you can set your focus for the day
    Exercise
Eat a healthy brekky, a home made veggie juice or smoothie YUM
Do most "thinking" intensive jobs in early hours of the morning where there are minimal distractions

Get up stupid early, get dressed in the dark, try not wake anyone else in the house, grab an apple off the shelf grab my lunch out the fridge, drive to work, realise I have put all my clothes on inside out.

Hehe, I was asked about this earlier today.

    Here's my morning routine
    • 7am (6am if I have a big day ahead) Wake up and get dressed for the day (clothes are set out the night before). I'll chuck on my headphones with music at this stage.
    • 7:05: Big glass of water with 5g creatine & CoQ10, and a multivitamin.
    • 7:06: Prepare Breakfast (I try to get at least 20g of protein, 30g of good carbs and some vegetables in there too)
    • 7:15: Eat breakfast
    • 7:20: Put water on the boil & meditate for 10 minutes.
    • 7:35: Prepare Tea
    • 7:40: Drink tea whilst sitting with my dogs (they always put me in a good mood) and writing down 3 things I'm grateful for, 1 thing that will make today great, and my 'why'.
    • 7:50: Prep for the day - turn on computer, review todos etc
    • 8am get started
I run my own business from home and mornings are my high productivity time. Morning routines are key for me.

I have never been a morning person. I always sleep in. My morning routine is: iron a shirt, shower, get ready for work, dash for the bus/train at the last minute :D

Sounds like my mornings, but I put my shirts in to get laundered - good time saver.
Have just relocated back to Brisbane, totally not in a routine at the moment.

I am highly routine driven. During the week, get up at 5:50am, get dressed and ready for work, catch bus to Stirling train station by 6:35am, in at my desk by 6:55am. Once there I have a coffee and breakfast, open my work emails and get into it. I love getting in early - it means I leave early too, and in summer it feels like early afternoon, with lots of the day still ahead :D

My other half is the opposite - he may or may not set his alarm, which he will then probably sleep through, stumble around once he's up, bumping into furniture and taking at least an hour to get ready before leaving the house, then finally getting in to work some time between 930am and 10am.
