I was advised by a handyman to complain to council re their huge tree on the nature strip tree with roots ruining my driveway, brick wall fence and pipes and the sidewalk.

I was told by others that nothing would come of it.

I do have my own proof of lots of enormous tree roots cut away from pipes by plumber doing repairs caused by tree root damage.. The roots are large, like very thick branches.

i thought nothing would come of it and i also sent them my plumber bill for damaged pipes from the roots but i complained about all the damage to pipes, brick wall fence,, driveway, sidewalk..

T hey wrote that they will organise an exploratory hdro excavation under the footpath to see what roots are present and if so to install a root barrier..

I'm interested to see if this goes anywhere as i was told council always give the run around and dont take responsibility and wont do anything.
