    Thanks.

    Nope.

    Even if you get some help from a third party I'd advise educating yourself first. After all the buck stops with you and "experts" have led plenty to poor decisions. With education you'll probably feel little need to shell out cash for third parties.

    Biz judging from your response I should go back on the old SS forum and do a search...

    Never heard of them. It just seems like every day there is someone starting a thread about some mentor group, spruiker or guru followed by posts about those who got burned and then an ensuing pity party.

    As most will say on here, avoid!

    Plenty of talk about "mentors" and their suitability for your goals on the forum. Self-education first would be the key thing to focus on, there's no rush.

    Read this forum everyday and a good few books from here and you'll learn most of what you need Book list
    Anything from Lomas, Somers, Yardney would be a good start.

    Few threads to read through;

    Are all property educators "spruikers"?

    Do you have a mentor?

    The Gumtree one would promise the world and then not show up for the seminar.

    This may help:) You have plenty of time on your side. Markets have already moved some 2+ years ago, or they are tanking today, no BS, just an observation.

    Also, you don't know what you don't know, stay away from so called mentors.

    If you are chasing property on the hope of growth think again.

    I would spend time studying what is actually happening in the markets and what is changing in terms of finance etc. and how this will impact on property markets moving forward.

    One of the owners of this group was a client of mine when I was a mortgage broker, he's both smart and very nice guy. He used to have a successful business in another industry and was investing and developing on the side. I have no opinion on this new business, but would happily give him a personal reference.
