Not sure where to start with this one. Does Triguboff care if people lose money or not on apartments ? And asking for government intervention ? Really ? If Triguboff could sell all his apartments at double the price while Australians lived in shanty towns I wouldn't imagine he'd lose a wink of sleep. Here's a tip. Maybe build a product not aimed solely at cashed up overseas investors. After all, it's risky ...

High Rise Harry is notorious for talking his book/ rent seeking off the government. He wants a population of 100 million just so he can build more apartments. He wants all our green spaces including the Royal Nation Park turned over for apartments. He once said 'if you want to see a tree drive to the Blue Mountains'.

    What limitless greed..
Unfortunately he is not the only one who thinks like that. I think his mindset is disgusting in the extreme and I'm no commo.

Harry never loses money. Met him and heard him speak on many occasions, he is smart and creating alarm, but its a double edged sword. The alarm will create awareness around the issues with OTP apartments - why you would buy one is beyond me. However, his "fear" is trying to push for gov't intervention.

My advice to Harry, retire mate, you can't go to the grave with it.

    Cheers Ivan

His ambition and tenacity are enviable but boy, has he left a legacy of crappy looking ghettoes. Singlehandedly destroyed parts of Sydney including the CBD...and still going eg Pagewood Green. The level of density is ridiculous.

Councils and State Govt Planning depts are just as much to blame.

If I recall correctly it wasn't all that long ago that Harry was saying that the talk of apartment prices falling was fear mongering.

Sure he does, and maybe if the govt stepped in with some assistance, all with be good, vis a vis Billionaire developer Harry Triguboff warns apartment downturn could destroy 'an enormous amount of wealth'

Unsure how the taxpayer will feel about this, and maybe Harry should consider just lopping $100k or so off each of his vendor finance loans to help out all of those "customers" that had settlement issues.

Maybe the taxpayer would feel a bit better about that, and such an act of generosity would be unheard of, and might start a trend.

    Or not
