Wishing everyone health, wealth and prosperity on this fun filled festival of lights! This festival also symbolises the victory of light over darkness, knowledge over ignorance, good over evil, hope over despair.

For those who don't know what it is-
Diwali (Dīvali, Dīpāwali, or Deepavali) is a festival of lights observed on the 15th day of the month of Kartika in the Hindu calendar. Many events are held in Australia to celebrate Diwali. Diwali, which is also known as the "Festival of Lights", is observed in some communities in Australia.

As the Festival of Lights comes to an end, we light a candle in remembrance of Narakasura, who was killed by his Mother after being tricked by the Dark Lord.

And also Sikh friends. My Sikh colleague tells me that it's also a significant day for them as well. To do with their 6th guru being released from prison.

No need to get curried away about it!

(I wasn't so sure about the Indian fast food place called Hurry Curry though).
