I've found that a lot of these show case stories from tacky and trashy media outlets can't tell the difference between turnover vs profit

Eg a person with $5m portfolio with 80% lvr = $5m net worth
Rental income of $250k per year with $250k in mortgage payment = $250k passive income

In most instances yes ......or at least with people with similar interests i.e. property
    .
What rich don't like is moaners... Or gonna doers....or people who think they got lucky or say how they did it won't work now. Or worse still fake it till ya make iters.

Obviously there are some unfortunate people who need sympathy.

There is a special penalty tax for people under 18. Highest marginal tax rate, to prevent this sort of thing. So this would likely never become CF+ and would need to be subsidisdd for 10+ years.

I guess structuring via a trust would not have achieved the same headline. I agree, advertorial.

Your income if you are under 18 years old

It's just intentionally written that way to get a rise out of readers (both those who own property and those who don't).

on a serious note, if its a genuine, true, non biased story it inspires me too

when its about a 6 yr old buying a house, it just annoys me big time

Both of my kids own 2 x houses :p.

When they each get to 100 x IPs, they will be welcomed back into the family :D.

True..... but sometimes it is simple as basics....one of the best books to get this through is any of the rich dad series....very down to earth.

What annoys me is all this positive thinking BS....Demartini...and all this talk about this namby pamby stuff people carry on about.... here are all the mentors you need...
