Hey all, Excited to be here. I found this site after a friend suggested I check out the old Somersoft forum (obviously he hadn't been on in a while)...which bought me here. A bit about me, I recently moved out of Sydney to Armidale NSW about 2 years ago. I run my own digital marketing company, which is now running along quite nicely. I use to work as a marketing manager for a large mortgage broking company when I was in Sydney, and always wanted to get into property investing once I had the cashflow. So that's why I'm here. Looking to invest, but I'm a complete newbie. I'm looking forward to lots of learning, and eventually start playing the investing game Nathan

Thanks guys, Sorry for the long wait in reply. @Jamie Moore To be honest it hasn't been too difficult. My wife and I travelled around Australia for about 5 months before moving here. After 5 months being away from the big smoke we knew we wanted somewhere more relaxed. There is (surprisingly enough) a lot going on here. The University here keeps things fresh, and lively. They are really making a push with local Entrepreneurial endevours as well which I'm excited about. Sydney is only a 1 hour flight away as well. I will admit though, I do miss randomly going to local meetups or events in Sydney...if I want to do anything I need to plan ahead. And @orangestreet , yep we have the NBN. When I visit family back in Sydney, I always forget how slow it is. The local council has recently had a shake up with the resent Council area changes. These guys are more tech savvy, which is why they are definitely pushing the online business space too
Hi Nathan, I also made the move from Sydney to regional NSW (Orange) and love it. Property returns are much better and the cities are growing Armidale is a great city.
