Granny flat on the gold coast

    Hi everyone!

    I have a highset in Southport. I wanted to build a self contained granny flat next to it, but another option would be to raise the house (it would take at least 1 meter raising though) and build under. I am not sure which is the way to go.. but I am looking for a good builder in the area who is reliable and honest - a very rare trait in that area unfortunately!!
    If someone has experience with doing that and can recommend the way to go, and also recommend someone who did it for him.. that would be fantastic :)
